It already does, sure an all out tech1 fitted BS costs very little in terms of modules, only problem being no-one actually flies them these days. Realistically, when buying a Battleship the cost of tech 2 fittings and insurance is going to add as much as the original cost of the ship to the final price tag...

Maybe some people don't want to do any of the mining, missioning, ratting, trading, building, researching, POS running or any of the other multi faceted aspects of the game, apart from jump into an endless stream of next to free ships and shoot other people. Maybe I think Eve isn't about that and it's something better.
Quit it with the hyperbole, unless you restricting yourself to tech 1 frigates and stock tech 1 items there is no 'endless stream of next to free ships', and lets face you get what you pay for.
The simple fact of the matter is there is no benefit to the game to be had from arbitrarily increasing the prices to suit your whims, and anyway, it's not as if the developers have considered it, or are likely to consider your strange request (stinks of elitist whining to me, but hey thatĘs just my opinion )
